A web-based tool in Microsoft 365 that enables users to quickly create surveys, quizzes, polls, and feedback forms.
Hi,
I'm Tim, an Independent Consultant here and a Microsoft user like you. I don't work for Microsoft and do not have access to any of your data on their system.
I understand that you created a Form using a previous version of Microsoft Office, but after an automatic update, the editable version of the Form is no longer available. If you've found a version of the Form using lost files, but you're unable to use it, here are a few suggestions below:-
- Compatibility mode: Sometimes, when you open a document created in an older version of Office with a newer version, it opens in compatibility mode, which may restrict certain editing features. Check if the Form is in compatibility mode and try converting it to the current file format. To do this, open the Form, go to the "File" menu, and look for an option like "Convert" or "Upgrade Document." This will update the Form to the latest format and enable full editing capabilities.
- Copy and recreate the Form: If the compatibility mode doesn't resolve the issue, you can try copying the content of the lost Form and recreating it in a new document. Open the lost Form, select all the elements (text, questions, etc.), and copy them. Then, create a new Form document in the updated version of Microsoft Office and paste the copied content. This will allow you to recreate the Form with the updated features.
- Restore from a backup: If you have a backup of your files, try restoring the Form from a previous version. Check if you have any backup solutions in place, such as Time Machine on macOS, that may allow you to retrieve an older version of the Form.
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further or If you find it helpful, you can mark this comment as the answer.
Kind regards
Tim
