So as the title says, I've been logging in with the authenticator app I have or getting a code via text message, however, even removing the verify my account via email on my microsoft account, I still get unsuccessful logins from people across the world and every time they try to login, microsoft sends me an email with a one time verification code in chinese, is there a way to turn off email verification code completely or do I just have to flag those email as spam? Because it does get annoying having it pop up every few hours.

Hi Aussie_Asian, So sorry to hear you are receiving unsolicited email login requests. This could be a sign that someone is trying to access your account without your permission, or that there is a glitch in the system. Here are some possible steps you can take to stop the emails and secure your account:

    1. Check your account activity and see if there are any suspicious sign-in attempts or devices. You can do this by going to your Microsoft account security page and clicking on Review recent activity. If you see any sign-in attempts or devices that you don’t recognize, you can mark them as This wasn’t me and follow the instructions to change your password and update your security info.
    2. Make sure that you have turned off two-step verification for your email address. You can do this by going to your Microsoft account security page and clicking on Advanced security options. Under the Two-step verification section, click on Turn off two-step verification and confirm. This will stop sending verification codes to your email address when you sign in from a new device or location. https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/-b1a56fc2-caf3-a5a1-f7e3-4309e99987ca
    3. If you still receive verification code emails after turning off two-step verification, you can contact Microsoft support and report the issue. You can do this by going to the Microsoft support page and selecting Contact support. You can then choose Microsoft account as the product, Security & privacy as the category, and Account security as the subcategory. You can then chat with a support agent.
    4. You can also flag the verification code emails as spam

    I hope this helps.

    Regards, Sola

    1. I have already noticed that it's all suspicious logins, however they are unable to enter my account because they keep getting the wrong password so I'm not too worried, but even if they get the password, I have set up the login to use an authenticator code from my app to get it to successfully log in.
    2. I have confirmed that I did turn off 2FA for my email address, but I still get the attempted login email.
    3. That might be my next step since I have notifications regarding my email turned off already and is only using my phone number and authenticator app to log in.

Really **** advice to turn off 2fa when someone trying to login to you account. Best decision for me - mark Microsoft sender as spam and dont use Microsoft account. It's really stupid to have some "one time code" which can anyone use easily to hack into account.
