Onenote cannot export from Mac

I'm trying to export Onenote notebooks from my old account and import them to the new one. I followed the steps described in the supporting information page of Microsoft but was unable to download the notebooks. On Mac, it's not a zip document, and on my PC laptop, there simply isn't a button called "export". I would like to know how to address it. If further information is needed, feel free to contact me. Thank you,

    Dear Huang Jiasheng,

Thanks for writing back and updating us.

As per the further updates, we would like to let you know that if you want to move the data from one OneDrive account to another OneDrive account, you can follow the below steps with the help of your IT admin (if necessary):

Step 1: Create a SharePoint Online site (if you don’t have permission, contact the admin of our university and explain about your requirement/show the reference thread because to achieve your requirement SharePoint Online site is required) > Add both of your Office 365 accounts as a member during the creation of the SharePoint Online site.

Reference: Create a site with SharePoint Online - Microsoft Support

Step 2: Open a browser and sign into your Office 365 with your Account A> Select all Notebooks> Move to> Select the site you have created and if it doesn’t display, click on the More place> Select the Site> Click Move Here

Step 3: Now open a different browser or InPrivate window and sign into Office 365 with your Account B> Access the SharePoint Online site you have created> Documents> Select the Notebooks> Move to> Click on My Files> Click Move here.

Alternative way is following the steps in the first reply but you need to create a new Microsoft account such as Outlook account which comes with 5 GB OneDrive data and move the Notebooks of Account A to newly created Microsoft account. Once moved successfully, then move the Notebooks from the newly created Microsoft account to another university account.

Hope the above information helps and if still any help is required, please post back to us anytime.

Appreciate your patience and understanding with us. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia

    Hi Sophia,

Thanks a lot for the reply and it's truly helpful! However, it occurs that the two accounts I'm using are from the same organization (my university), so that I cannot add them to my Onenote account simultaneously. I'm wondering if there's any method to solve it.

Thank you again for your support, and all the best!

    Best Regards,

    Jiasheng

    Dear Huang Jiasheng,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

I understand your requirement and would like to let you know that Export feature is only available in the OneNote 365 app on the Windows device which is the part of Office 365 apps.

However, if you are using the OneNote app on the Mac, you can try to follow the below steps to move content of the Notebooks from one account to different account:

    a. Open the OneNote for Mac application and add your both cloud services (old and new account). To do it: Open the OneNote app> Click on File in Apple Menu bar> Open> Add the place.

    b. Now open the Notebooks from the old account which you want to move to new account.

    c. Create a new Notebooks in the new OneDrive account.

    d. Now go to old account Notebooks> Right-click on the Section> Select Move Section to or Copy Section to> Select the Notebooks created in new OneDrive account.

    e. Perform Move/Copy to all sections in the old account.

I hope the above steps will help you to move the Notebooks data from one account to another account using OneNote app on Mac and if there is any confusion, please feel free to post back to us anytime.

Appreciate your patience and understanding with us. Have a good day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
