Every MS app I open shows this popup: "We're sorry but Word (Outlook, Excel, etc.) has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Word will need to be closed as a result. Would you like us to repair now? When I click on Repair Now nothing happens.

Windows 10, updated last night.

Hi Craig, it is a Microsoft bug. It has been like this for years, Microsoft ignores it. You should not need to do an online repair. Quick repair should fix the problem. If you still have a problem after running Quick repair you can go back and do an online repair, which is a more comprehensive repair and reinstalls Office as part of the process.

Right click on the Windows Start

    Apps & Features (top)

In the little search box type>Office (This will bring up your Office from the list of Apps

    Click on your Office

    Modify

    Choose>Quick repair

You can also go to Control Panel

    Programs and Features

    Right click on your Office

    Change
    Choose Quick repair
