What determines the parameters DevicePairingRequestedEventArgs in \Windows-universal-samples-master\Samples\DeviceEnumerationAndPairing ?

I want to custom pair BLE device which with static PIN code, but the parameter( args.PairingKind) from PairingRequestedHandler always be the value "ConfirmOnly",
and the value I expected is "providepin" or "providepasswordcredential" that I can input PIN code.

What determines this parameter ？ The master BLE app or the BLE device to be paired ?

What determines this parameter ?

For this problem you could check DeviceEnumerationAndPairing code sample Scenario9 CustomPairDevice, if you have specific pairingKindsSupported for PairAsync method where in
line 136. And above will determines args.PairingKind parameter.

The master BLE app or the BLE device to be paired ?

It can be paired for BLE device. you could use above sample and edit device selector to Bluetooth LE. For BLE app, may you need provide more info about it.

That's what I did before.(check DeviceEnumerationAndPairing code sample Scenario9 CustomPairDevice)

"Select supported pairing ceremonies:" have 5 checkboxes, if I do not select "ConfirmOnly" and select all others,
The app cannot enter function PairingRequestedHandler, and it prompt the function is not registered
(RequiredHandlerNotRegistered = 16, and DevicePairingKinds not be supported),
My test BLE device PIN password is setted.
If ceremony option "ConfirmOnly" is selected, The app can run enter PairingRequestedHandler,
but I hope the parameter( args.PairingKind) from PairingRequestedHandler is "providepin" or "providepasswordcredential" that I can input PIN code.

I want to know what factors determines the parameter DevicePairingRequestedEventArgs PairingKind,
The master BLE app or the my test BLE device ? I hope you understand my problem. Thanks.

I test to connect my phone with out ConfirmOnly option, And i works well, could share more detail about the ble device?

The ble device is nrf52840 moudle from taobao (https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.14782e8dHRHpYL&id=553764237720&_u=s23rvpc0e869),
Software nRF5_SDK from nordicsemi.
Maybe, the parameter DevicePairingRequestedEventArgs PairingKind is determined by nrf52840 or it's software SDK,
not by the ble master or UWP app.
Perhaps we can generate the correct "providepin" option by modifying the device software SDK.

Yep, you are correct, if the device does not support providepin option, PairingKind.ProvidePin will not available.

I asked nordicsemi for support , and they replied that there is no problem of my SDK configuration.

I use android phone as master bluetooth to test the connection of nrf52840 ble device,
A pin-code-input dialog box ejectted as my expected, and the communication is normal after pairing.

I use win10 built-in bluetooth scanning and pairing function to connect nrf52840 ble device,
the result show that the pairing is finished and OK,but in fact, the communication can not work properly.

I use win10 built-in bluetooth scanning and pairing function to connect other classic bluetooth device,
A pin-code-input dialog box ejectted as my expected, and the communication is normal after pairing.

Did you test UWP app with your mobile phone in ble mode?
Can you use win10 built-in bluetooth scanning and pairing function to test ble device ?

I have no such device, so I tested with my phone to connect to my pc. Why don't you use BluetoothLEAdvertisementWatcher to watch the ble's Advertisement?

My main problem is custom pairing BLE device which with static PIN code setted,
and hope to appear a pin-code-input dialog box like option ""providepin".
Using win10 built-in bluetooth to scan and pair is only to test win10 pairing BLE process.
Using BluetoothLEAdvertisementWatcher to watch the ble's Advertisement can not solve my problem.
Through these tests, I doubt that there may be a bug in the handling of win10 custom pairing ble device which with static PIN code.

I have a little doubt that win10 system pairing ble only by default option "ConfirmOnly",
Whether the static pin-code is set or not.
