My study account for microsoft office got blocked. When I try to get a new passport it says that I have to ask my institution to unlock it. But my institution is not offering me this service. And when I try to get help through the Microsoft support site, it wants me to log in with my account, which I am not able to.

    Dear Lisa Chmiel,

Good day. Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I understand that you got locked out of your school account.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your study account. Since your institution is not offering you the service to unlock your account and seem to be the only good way to get unblocked as they are the account provider. I suggest you contact Microsoft support directly.

You can contact our Data Protection Team directly; please contact our hotline and the support team there will create a Service Request ticket for you, Find Microsoft 365 for business support phone numbers by country or region - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn. From there, you can choose the option to chat with a support agent or request a call back. They will be able to assist you in unlocking your account. If you are unable to log in to your account, you can provide them with your account details and they will be able to assist you further.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We appreciate your cooperation!
