selecting multiple shapes in Visio using touch

Hi

I’m new to Visio and I’m trying to make a flowboard that will work with our touchscreen. The only thing I can’t do is select multiple shapes. I’m doing it the way the tutorials say. Tap and hold one shape and then select others by tapping.

What happens is that the other shape seems to get selected for a very brief second, and then gets unselected again.

I can’t seem to figure out why this is happening, and it’s driving me crazy 😜

Can anyone help?

    Dear NMUZ (Sandra Mouritzen),

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, it seems that you are trying to multi-select shapes in Visio using touch, however, shapes get unselected again after a very brief second.

If the understanding above is right, as per the video shared in Build Visio diagrams using a touch screen - Microsoft Support, it seems that we need to hold on the other shape for a while when release the first shape to multi-select.

For your reference: Visio on a mobile or touch-based device - Microsoft Support

Hope the above can help. If the understanding above is not consistent with yours or any unclear, please feel free to post back and point that. Meanwhile, please share a screenshot of your Visio version with us.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. We hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Rhoda | Microsoft Community Moderator
