Windows Server 2016 Registry Editor Address Bar Missing

I use the Registry Editor (regedit.exe) on both Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 2016 Server 2016 Standard.

On Windows 10, there is an address bar which is very useful in going directly to a registry folder by pasting a path in it. On Windows 2016 Server, there is no Address Bar, just a Status Bar.

When I go to the View Menu, there is no option for Address Bar, just an option for the Status Bar which doesn't allow you to paste a path into it.

    Hi @rspiet ,

This is by design, Windows Server 2016 doesn't offer the address bar in the Registry Editor, Windows Server 2019 does as well as the later versions of Windows 10 which is what you see on your Windows 10.

There are third-party software which helps administering the Registry Editor if you require that for your Windows Server 2016 server(s).

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question.

Additionally, you can access Windows 2016 server registry from Windows 10 computer, you need just start remote registry service from 2016 server.
