unable to remove/delete folder from Sharepoint/Teams Library (In Site Library)

Hello,

iam unable to delete a no longer needed folder from our SharePoint/Teams Library as seen on the picture.

I've tried it using Teams Client and Sharepoint Admin Center on the web. Once i try to delete the folder in Classic Sharepoint Center, its telling me to go to Teams to delete it which doesnt work either although my account is set to owner.

I dont understand why Microsoft has no easier path to remove a simple folder without content.

Also, I tried it using Powershell v7 using the following command:

Remove-PnPFolder -Name $FolderName -Folder $ParentFolderSiteRelativeURL -Force -Recycle -ErrorAction StopRemove resulting in Error File Not found messages.

Maybe the reference to this path is incorrect. What would be the correct path to address this In Site Library?

Thanks for looking into

    Dear Nikolai143,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you

First of all, I also noticed that this folder also appears in the Teams channel, and you can't seem to remove this folder from Teams either. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. I would like to confirm the following information first:

If you create a folder in this channel, could you delete it normally? If you can, try to move this folder to a new folder, and then see if it helps you to delete the new folder.

If this message also appears in the new folder, I would like to know more about the following:

    • Are folders not being deleted on other channels?
    • Are your colleagues in a similar situation?

At the same time, since our forums have very limited support for PowerShell code, the solution to your code error message is beyond our scope of support. For you to be assisted properly, please reach out toMicrosoft PowerShell Community; I am sure that our experts from that team can address your query effectively and accurately.

We look forward to your reply. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator
