Can I change the key used to accept the proposed predictive text?

Default I believe is tab or right-arrow.

Pressing spacebar for example makes a lot more sense to me.

I don't think you can change which key that should be used; at least, this isn't mentioned in the support article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/editor-text-predictions-in-word-7afcb4f3-4aa2-443a-9b08-125a5d692576.

As George Jiang proposed, you can send feedback to Microsoft.

Programmers and decision makers at Microsoft do not look for product feedback in the forums.

    Hi Koos Du Plessis,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

Based on my search and test, currently, we only have the built-in shortcut commands "TextPredictionsSettings" and "TextPredictionsFeedback". I didn't find any built-in command or method that can meet your needs. You may need to press the Tab or Right-arrow key to accept the suggested text.

Based on the situation, I recommend you post a suggestion in Microsoft Feedback Portal where members also post their suggestions here. It's the platform for us to hear your voice and improve our products.

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Sincerely,

    George | Microsoft Community Moderator
