Certain Columns Can't Be Selected When Creating Sharepoint List Rules

Question

When trying to set up a new rule based on a certain value within a column I'm running into the issue that some columns work while others don't. I'm trying to select a choice column so that I can set up an automatic email based on the selection made for that line. When trying to select that column the "Create a rule" prompt closes automatically.

Based on your description, you can't select the Choice column when creating a rule in SharePoint list. I tested it on my side, however, there was no problem.

To narrow down the scope of the issue, could you please provide more information for me?

1. Does the problem happen on other lists in the same site/other lists in different site?
2. If you switch to other browsers/inprivate browsers, will the same problem happen?
3. Do your colleagues have the same problem?
