Office 2021 does not recognize license code -

Purchased Office 2021. downloaded and installed. now shows unlicensed product on top of title page.

Won't let me use the product - has run into and error that is preventing usage.

Microsoft sent the license code 30 MINUTES after the link for the download.

Seems like Microsoft does not even recognize its own product.

used the repair button and also repair instructions from Microsoft community forum.

How can I get my license code to Microsoft so I can use their very expensive and now mostly useless product?

    So,

    Does Office2021 not have its own icon?

    As a stand alone program?

    Or do you open/use it with the 365 apps??

    I do not show a separate program for Office 021 when I use the link you suggested and install it.

    Hi Derek, Microsoft does not send 'licence codes'. If you purchased Office Home & Student/Business 2021 from Microsoft Store you should be able to see your Office 2021 here: https://account.microsoft.com/services  Sign in with the same Microsoft Account (email address and password) used to purchase your Office from the Microsoft Store. You should be able to get he Apps by searching in the Windows search box for>Word>Right click on the Word App>Pin to Start/Pin to taskbar.

    I uninstalled Microsoft 365 and clicked the install link that came with the license code. The Office 2021 program installs. When I open a program - Word - the title at the top says Unlicensed Product.

    I believe the issue is that when I purchased the Office 2021, after the purchase I got a link to install. Which I wanted to do, As that is why I made the purchase initially. So the computer did the setup file and then the install. Later, like 30 minutes later, I got another email, from Microsoft, with the license code and another install link.

    So I have purchased a product, uninstalled the preexisting product, and when I go to office.com to install, I use my account and it says product key already used -

    How can I get Microsoft to allow me to use their product, which I have a legitimate license code for?

    And why did it take Microsoft 30 minutes to get me my license code?

    I suspect that you failed to uninstall the pre-installed O365 Family trial. And its that that is unlicensed.
