Problem with Master Document (macOS)

I'm assembling a book and used the master document feature in Word but 2 new problems arise.

  1. It takes a whole blank page for a section break
  2. I have to separately insert page numbers, header and footer for all the 73 documents

Note: The book that I assembled is a reference book for writing papers, this book contains different essays, journals, etc. from my university students. That's why I want to preserve every documents' original formatting. This book is intended for digital distribution so I don't want any blank pages between documents.

Please, please, please read Master Documents "Feature" in Microsoft Word before proceeding any further with your project!

Read the linked pages as well.

In my opinion, you are risking your entire book.

Thanks a lot. After a few hours, it seems like copy and pasting works just fine. A little bit tedious but it gets the job done.
