Some Hyperlinks do not work in Microsoft programs

Some Hyperlinks recently stopped working in Microsoft 365 programs; they do work in all other programs. They do not work at all in emails in Outlook, in OneNote, Word, etc. When I click on a link — any link — a pop up informs me that "Your organization's policies are preventing us from completing this action for you. For more info, please contact your help desk". Curiously, some links on Microsoft's Your Account>Your Profile also do not work. I have checked without success everything I can think of that might have changed a policy. Any ideas what I can do next?

Yes. PopUpOff. Also, tracker blockers Ghostery and Privacy Badger.

Do you use any Ad-Blockers or Cookie-Blockers or Popup-Blockers ?

@Bernd P. The MS My Account>My Profile is also solved via a suggestion I found. I went into Incognito mode in my browser and then simply tried the MS links again, and they worked. Of course, this does not identify the problem when in the browser's normal mode. I will have to research that more unless someone here has a suggestion.

@Bernd P. Success! I followed the link and kept trying the solutions without success until I got to the Reset Web Settings section. And there was the solution that worked. AND, the links in other programs — i.e. OneNote, Word — now work as well. But the links I mentioned in Microsoft's MY PROFILE still don't work. I will contact MS about that.

I had indeed uninstalled my browser, Vivaldi (it's Chromium based), and reinstalled it without taking the precautions that I found out here that I could have (ignorance is not always bliss). I want to take a couple of days to make sure everything is working before marking this Solved. Thank you @Bernd P.

For the benefit of others, here are the instructions I followed:

    1. Close Outlook
    2. On the Start menu, type Internet Options and open it when it comes up.
    3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click the Reset button.
      reset web settings dialog
    4. On the Programs tab, under Internet programs, click Set Programs, then click Set your Default Programs. Verify your e-mail program (Outlook) is set as the default, if not, set it as the default. Repeat for the Web Browser. Note: In Windows 10, this opens the Settings, Default Apps dialog
    5. Click OK and close the dialogs. Note: You need to set Internet Explorer as default and verify the problem is fixed. If you prefer a different browser, you can set it as the default browser later.
