I am using OneDrive for multiple computers. My question is when I try to open a program on one machine that is on the C drive it will not open the same program on a different machine that has the same program on the D drive. How can I fix this?

    Hello

I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.

I understand that you're having trouble opening a program on one machine that is on the C drive, while the same program is on the D drive on another machine. OneDrive is designed to sync files from the default OneDrive folder location (c:/users/username/OneDrive) and backup limited personal folders, i.e. Documents, Pictures, and Deskto¹. It is not possible to sync local drive folders other than the dedicated OneDrive sync folder default path "c:/users/username/OneDrive" in the cloud by product design. However, you could change the OneDrive default location to D: drive, but you'd need to move your D: drive files in the OneDrive folder (that's D:/OneDrive) to sync in the cloud. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/syncing-different-drives-with-onedrive/5304e12c-d32e-4cb0-b8fb-5f182b4dc210.

You can move the OneDrive folder to your D drive and your Documents, Desktop, and/or Pictures folders will move to the OneDrive folder on your D drive when you enable the OneDrive PC Folder Backup. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-the-location-of-your-onedrive-folder-f386fb81-1461-40a7-be2c-712676b2c4ae.
