    Dear Lorrie1,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft community. We are glad to help you.

The General folder in SharePoint is connected to the Teams Channel called General in Teams, you need to delete the whole channel in Teams.

    Dear Lorrie1,

You may try the Teams web version, you could delete it through the browser. If you are using Team site in SharePoint, a team will be created automatically in Teams.

    Dear Lorrie1,

I apologize for misunderstanding your requirements.

I want to explain that each team is connected to one or more SharePoint sites. These sites are where the team's files are stored. In Teams, the Files tab on each standard channel is connected to a folder in the parent site's default document library.

Every team has a default standard channel, "General", which cannot be deleted or renamed, so the folder associated with it in the document library cannot be deleted as well.

Hope you keep safe and healthy always.
