Every time I try to save my spreadsheet the only option is to save to one drive. it won't let me save to Mac which means I cannot save it to my desktop. How do I turn off this irritating one drive?

Additional to the per instance solution from Jazlyn Xu, go the Excel> Pr4eferences> Save to clear the check for Turn on AutoSave by default. Otherwise every save will continue to be directed to OneDrive [only OneDrive supports the Auto Save feature].

The same can be done in the other Office programs.

    Dear Ciara_0733,

Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, you want to save Excel files to your desktop on Mac. May I confirm whether you could see the "On My Mac" button when you save the file like the below image?

If not, could you please provide a full screenshot when you save the file for me?

    Sincerely,

    Jazlyn | Microsoft Community Moderator
