Hi. I"m Brian and I'll try to help.

Yea, Microsoft admitted they lost control of a private key that was supposed to keep Exchange servers like Outlook.com safe. You might find the following informational: https://www.grc.com/sn/sn-939-notes.pdf. Read the section entitled "How Microsoft lost the key to their kingdom." This hack allowed a Chinese hacking group to totally circumvent two-factor authentication.

That said, did you use LastPass to keep your wallet information? If you did, it very well could be that it was LastPass's breach that is the issue, not Microsoft. In that same article I cited, check out the section entitled "LastMess." Cryptocurrency is riskier than the stock market. I think you're better off keeping your money in a shoe box under your bed.

I realize this isn't a solution, but I don't think anyone can repair what happened to you. I do sympathize.

Note that the web site I included is not a Microsoft web site but it is safe. It doesn't contain any potentially unwanted apps. It may use cookies, though, so be aware.
