Hi,

I was getting login prompt for one drive in ny pc and hence I again teied to login into my one drive in my PC. I was successfully able to login but I saw that my complete onedrive was empty. ALL my documents were gone. Its not even in the recycle bin. There are no folders that I had created previously. Its pretty strange as if this one drive was created just now.

How is this possible ?

I then tried to check onedrive in my phone and ipad but still don’t see my files there. I have not received any emails regarding this.

Where are my files ? I want them back as there are some critical files that I need certainly back.

Kind Regards

Dhanraj

I have tried to restore the previous version but i dont see any versions older than a week back. It seems like my one drive was completely erased and seems like it is created recently. Still dont have any clue what happened to my files. I see under my old files under Activity but when i try to open them it sats the file has been removed permanently.

please help me get back my files.

    Hello Sola,

I tried t do all the steps you have listed but none of them worked. I don't see the version history at all. It almost seems like a new account has been created with no history.

    Hi Dhanraj,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconveniences,

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

    • Make sure you are signed in with the correct Microsoft account that is associated with your OneDrive files. You can check your account settings on the OneDrive website or app.
    • Check the Recycle bin section on the OneDrive website to see if your files were accidentally deleted or moved there. If they are, you can restore them to their original location.
    • Check the Version history option on the OneDrive website to see if you can recover previous versions of your files or folders. You can right-click on a folder and select Version history to see the available versions.
    • Check the Activity section on the OneDrive website to see if there were any recent changes or actions related to your files or folders. This might give you some clues about what happened to your files or if there was any unusual activity.

Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

    Regards, Sola
