Powerpoint Pasting

Hello,I'm using a Mac computer, and every time I try and paste on Powerpoint,, the text appears as if it was from where I originally copied it from (like a website). I want to keep the text the same as what I have set on my slides (white text and Arial). I have tried to set format to "Use Destination Theme", and a plethora of other options with no success. The only semi-successful on was the paste option in the toolbar. However, because I'm trying to make this powerpoint easy to use for others, that option won't be simple for someone who is quickly using this as a template. Is there another way to paste without having to use the toolbar or manually changing the text every time I paste?

By default, Microsoft Office programs honor local formatting when pasting. PowerPoint for Mac doesn't have a way to change the default paste format, so there is no way to change this behavior. Your users will have to paste with Use Destination Theme or Keep Text Only to reformat the text to match your template.

Unfortunately, Waqas' suggestion of using a VBA macro is not a realistic way to solve this issue.

Have you tried using Edit> Paste & Match Formatting [Shift+Option+Command+V]?

    Dear respected Irish Webster,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, generally, when you paste, PowerPoint remembers the text levels for each line and applies the new formatting for that text level to the pasted slides.

I always work in order Master Layouts Slides. First, check whether your font theme is set to use Arial by choosing View>Slide Master>Fonts. If the Theme is using another font instead of Arial, change it.

If you're comfortable use macro9or record a macro) to the pasting process with the formatting, you want, it can be a powerful way to control the behavior of PowerPoint on a Mac.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad
