While Microsoft Bookings doesn't directly allow scheduling a single time slot for appointments, you can achieve a similar outcome using the "Set Different Availability for a Date Range" feature. Here's how:
Steps to set a single date and time slot:
- Sign in to Microsoft Bookings.
- Click on "Services" in the left navigation pane.
- If you haven't already, click "Add a new service" and create a service for this specific appointment.
- Under "Availability option," choose "Set different availability for a date range."
- Click on the calendar icon and select April 23rd, 2024.
- Set the "Start time" to 11:00 AM and "End time" to 12:00 PM.
- Under "General availability," choose "Not bookable." This ensures Bookings only shows the specific date and time you defined.
- Click "Save" to finalize the service.
Limiting the number of bookings:
Unfortunately, Microsoft Bookings doesn't have a built-in feature to limit appointments for a single time slot. However, there are a couple of workarounds:
-First-come, first-served: With the above setup, whoever books first will have the slot. This might not be ideal for a large number of employees.
-Use a separate service for each slot: If you need more control, you can create multiple services with the same details but different dates and times (e.g., "Employee Appointment - April 23rd, 11:00 AM"). This allows you to manage the number of appointments per slot.
Additional tips:
-Consider using a scheduling tool specifically designed for one-time appointments if Microsoft Bookings limitations become a hurdle. -Clearly communicate the appointment details and booking process to your employees.
By following these steps and considering the limitations, you can create a single time slot for employee appointments in Microsoft Bookings.
I hope this information helps! If I can be of help with anything else, please let me know. I will be glad to answer any other questions that you might have.
