Custom APK deployment is not supported by Google on Android Enterprise and thus Intune cannot do this. You must publish your APK to the Managed Google Play store: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/apps-add-android-for-workstore.
APK deployment via Intune.
Dear Community Experts,
I am not able to deploy a custom android apk(intune wrapped) to my android device using intune company portal.
- I have enrolled my device to company portal and i am able to list the device under android devices. but i am not able to assign the app to enrolled devices or users.
- I am using trial verison could this be the case?
- I have created app configuration and protection policies as well.

For this issue, we appreciate your help to clear something:
1.What method did you use to enroll the Android device? Android Administrator or Android Enterprise? As Jason said, add LOB apps directly is only supported in Android Administrator devices.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/fundamentals/deployment-guide-platform-android#deploy-apps2.From the screen shots, it seems that the device didn't get the LOB app. If it is a Android Administrator device, it is suggested to try to only deployed to a user group and sync the Android device. Then check if the app is installed and check the app status in intune portal.
