Hello,

I just bought the copilot pro.

I searched in all the possible sources of documentation and I didn’t find if the version (copilot pro) for individuals contains any kind of personal information protection, like "enterpise-grade data protection" that avalilable on m365 copilot.

Thank you.

Hello wrmatos,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Congratulations on purchasing Copilot Pro! Let me provide you with some information about its privacy features.

Copilot Pro is designed to enhance your productivity by providing AI-powered assistance within Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote. Here are the key points regarding privacy and data protection:

  • Privacy Statement: Copilot Pro: Microsoft 365 apps and your privacy - Microsoft Support
  • Copilot Pro is covered by the Microsoft Services Agreement.
    • For details on how Microsoft processes personal data and the purposes for which it is used, refer to the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • Copilot Interactions:
    • When you interact with Copilot (by asking it to help you with a specific task), this interaction is called a “prompt.”
    • Currently, Copilot does not retain any memory of previous interactions from session to session. Each time you open a Microsoft 365 app and use Copilot, it starts fresh.
  • Copilot only accesses the content in your files when you explicitly ask it to perform a specific action on that content. For example, when you request Copilot to rewrite a paragraph in a Word document or generate a to-do list from your notes in OneNote.
  • Privacy Settings:
    • Even if you’re not actively using Copilot, you can configure privacy settings for connected experiences on your Windows or Mac device.
    • Two relevant settings are:
    • Turn on experiences that analyze content
    • Turn on all connected experiences
    • Adjusting these settings affects the availability of Copilot features in desktop apps like Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, and Word.

Remember that Copilot Pro continues to evolve over time, and new capabilities may be added. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please let me know.

Regards,

Prince R
