.mpp file not saving

I opened .mpp file and worked on it today and saved it. It asked me that a file with same name already exist in the location, do you want to proceed and I said "Yes". When I went to the location and opened the .mpp file the changes were not saved and it still showed older version of the file. How is this possible? Could the file with new changes be saved in some other location on my system?

Thanks, yes there were 2 versions saved and when I opened both versions, it had old entries. I rebooted my system and the file has new entries now. Not sure what went wrong but its sorted now.

    Deepali_ch,

Yes it's possible but since you received the alert of an existing file in that location, it sounds more like the save didn't "take" for whatever reason. Go to, File > Open recent and see if there are two different versions of the file. Or use File Explorer and search for instances of the file name.

This forum is for Microsoft Access the database platform. I would suggest posting in a Project forum.
