Styles formatting issue on shared document

Our Word report formatting is going skew on a shared document.

Every time any of us open the document, the formatting of the 'Styles' (headers etc) have switched to centre aligned. So each time I 'Modify' the 'Style' make them left aligned and then it reverts back next time its opened.

A few of us are working on the same document (via Sharepoint) but we all have the same Word version.

    Dear Gill,

Good day, thanks for querying in this forum. We're happy to help you.

From your description, it seems that you are co-authoring the same document, however, the formatting of the 'Styles' (headers etc) have switched to centre aligned.

If my understanding is right, we have also tested it on our side and we cannot reproduce the same situation as yours.

Given this situation, to better understand your situation and help narrow down this issue, could you provide the information below?

    1. May I know if all files have the same problem?
    2. Could you provide the version and product information of Word? You can go to Word > File > Account and provide the screenshot of it.
    3. Could you also provide the screenshots of "the formatting of the 'Styles' (headers etc) have switched to centre aligned"?

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,
