When PowerPoint is in presenter mode, I am noticing a long lag for the notes to catch up to each slide. Is there a resolution for this issue?

    I am not alone.

I am obligated to use a Dell Precision 5770 Laptop. It is new and everything is up to date.

Weirdly the LEAST amount of lag I can get with this issue is using Parallels on the Mac running the current Windows 11 Home and Current PPT as well. Still a lag, but far and away the least compared to an actual PC. Some of the Microsoft Surface machines delay by well over 5 seconds, on a slide with a simple "fade" transition, and no animations on the actual slide.

I continue to have this same issue repeatedly across many different decks received from clients and used at huge live events. It has become extraordinarily problematic and embarrassing.

Still continues even after trying "Insider Current Channel (Preview) Version 2401.

This is happening on a few different Microsoft Surface Books, all of which are as up to date as possible for OS, Firmware, PPT, etc., as of 1-24-24.

There is a few second lag before notes appear and then if you move BACKWARD on the deck, the notes (from the prior slide that was slow to appear) do not clear out to reflect the other slide's notes.
