WVD - Remoteapp - Starts Teams + intended app

2021-08-25T15:24:31.417+00:00

Hello everyone,

I have a new remote app group in my host pool for WVD machine. The remote-app is accessible by the intended users, the don't have access to the Desktop Directly.

However whenever they start the remote app, the VM boots Teams in the virtual environment including the intended app.

Any advise on how to turn this off would be great.

I tried shutting off the "start-up" app Teams from my admin account on the VM, but it only applied it to my personal user and doesn't apply it to everyone accessing the VM.

Below are few suggestions that you can try to solved your issue:

If the app being published is not one of the office apps, you could use the W10 multisession image that doesn't include office.
If the RemoteApp is an office app but Teams is not required, Teams could be uninstalled from the image.

Try creating app masking with FSLogix for Teams and assigning to an empty group work? It's like disallowing teams for everyone in the session host (I have not tried this myself, you can try if it helps resolve your issue).

    Hope this helps.
