Cannot add tasks using Planner in browser

UPDATE - THERE HAS NOW BEEN AN UPDATE TO PLANNER AND THIS IS NOW WORKING AS EXPECTED.

When trying to add a task via planner in Edge (or Chrome) while in the Assigned to me view, we receive an error stating "We couldn't create task "Task Name". Please try again later." This has only recently started happening for us.

When we use a specific Team view rather than the Assigned to me view, then we can add the tasks as expected.

This only seems to happen when we are in the Assigned to me Board view and Group by option is set to Plan. If any other option is selected, then we don't have the feature to add a task. It is also worth noting that this happens for all Teams that appear in the Assigned to me view, and it only occurs once the Task name and Due date has been completed and the Add task button pressed.

I am also getting this behaviour when creating tasks in the Assigned to Me view. If I create them in the individual boards it works though.

    Hi

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you

The issue is likely caused by the backend. Please check the service incident in Admin Center> Health> Service health. If there is related service incident in your tenant, please wait for repair.

If there is no related service incident, I would like to suggest you create a support ticket via Office 365 Admin Center > Support. That support team there will have the correct channel to help you investigate more and find what exactly reason has caused this issue from the backend.

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator

I am getting the same behavior. I'm at a different company and it occurs for every Plan showing up in the Boards layout.

    Dear

    Good day!

I haven't encountered anything similar in our tests here.

In order to check whether there is a phenomenon for the Planner service itself, I want to confirm whether this phenomenon occurs in multiple plans. And are any of your colleagues experiencing this phenomenon?

    Sincerely,

    Tin
