Adding a shared email without being charged for another license (MS 365)

I have MS 365 Business Basic and currently have one license and one user:

******@mybusiness.com

I'm looking to add another email which is ******@mybusiness.com. I've read in other threads that there is a way to set this up without buying another license. Can anyone help to map out the steps necessary?

Thanks!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I'm happy to assist you with this request.

You can create a shared mailbox which can be accessed and used by users with Exchange Online license and it does not need a license of its own. For detailed steps on how to create a shared mailbox and add members to it please see Create shared mailboxes in the Exchange admin center | Microsoft Learn and Create a shared mailbox - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn. About how they work see About shared mailboxes - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn.

Should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. Look forward to hearing from you.

As a follow up, will clients be able to email this secondary mailbox from outside of my business?
