WHY WOULD MY EXCEL PROGRAM ON MY LAPTOP CLOSE DOWN WITH NO WARNING? WHEN I REOPEN, IT SAYS "WE ARE SORRY BUT EXCEL HAS RUN INTO AN ERROR THAT IS PREVENTING IT FROM WORKING CORRECTLY. EXCEL WILL NEED TO BE CLOSED AS A RESULT. WOULD YOU LIKE TO REPAIR NOW? " I CLICK "YES" TO REPAIR NOW, BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. I CAN OPEN IT AND WORK FOR JUST A FEW MINUTES, HAVING TO SAFE AFTER EACH ENTRY SO INFO IS NOT LOST. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Based on the information you provided it seems that your Microsoft Excel is corrupted. I just want to ask a few questions as to narrow down the problem. It is important to answer this to provide more detailed troubleshooting steps.

    1. May i know what Microsoft Office you are using? Is it Microsoft Office 2021 or Microsoft 365?
    2. Is there any changes with your device?
    3. Can you still remember when did the issue first re-occur our how many days has it been?

Here are some possible troubleshooting steps that may help resolve your solution:

    1. Quick Repair Office: Usually if there are any corrupted components will be resolve by the quick repair: Link: Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support. After repair please test it.
    2. Check for updates: This will help with updating your Microsoft Office to the latest version: Install Office updates - Microsoft Support
    3. Uninstall/Reinstall Office: This will help refresh the Office application

Uninstall Link: Uninstall Office from a PC - Microsoft Support

Installation Link: Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2021 on a PC or Mac - Microsoft Support

Let me know if the issue persists, and we can have other options.
