OneNote (Browser) - Remove Containers

Hello,

For some strange reason, almost every sentence I write in OneNote (on a browser) is in a container box and it is very annoying. I have managed to disable the container display on the OneNote App on Windows laptop but the issue persists on the browser. It's convenient to use OneNote on the browser on the go.

I am unable to find ways to disable container boxes on the browser, can someone advise?

Thanks,

Hi, I am Sumit, and I will gladly assist you today. Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I am afraid There is no way to turn off containers on the web version.

OneNote pages use a note container that does not flow text in the same way as Microsoft Word. Although this may seem like a limitation, it enables users to keep text in separate sections or containers that can have different fonts, shading, and formatting and can be moved as a single unit. The container can be easily resized and moved as needed, which makes it a flexible and customizable tool.
