Hi Mariska M!
I am Shakiru, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.
There could be a few reasons why it might not be working as expected:
- Ensure that cell G2 contains a valid date formatted as a date in Excel. If the date is not recognized as a valid date, the formula will not work correctly.
To do that: Right-click on the cell and select "Format Cells". Under the "Number" tab, ensure the category is set to "date" or "General" and not a format like "Text" that would display the formula itself instead of the calculated result.
- Double-check that the cell reference G2 points to the correct cell containing the start date for calculating the years of service.
Please let me know how it goes and if you need any other assistance and I will be more than happy to help further.
Thank you
Best Regards, Shakiru
