Does Microsoft 365 BASIC include the ability to download the apps to my desktop and use them offline? Word, Excel, Powerpoint? I don't want to use them online. But the description of what you get with MS 365 Basic is focused on storage space etc when what I want to find out about is the main apps themselves. Can they be downloaded and used offline?

    Hello BSM_777

Hi, I'm Karl and will be happy to help you today.

The MS 365 Basic subscription does not include any Office desktop apps. For that yu will need to purchase either a Personal or Family subscription

If you do opt to purchase a 365 Personal or Family subscription, use the same Microsoft Account used for the Basic subscription. When that is done, be sure to turn off recurring billing for the Basic subscription so that you do not get automatically billed for it when the subscription expires
