Two groups with the same name

Hi All,

In one my SharePoint's site (site name is QA), under the site's advanced permission settings, there are 3 groups made by default (Members, Owners, Visitors). But when I go to a folder in the QA site, and click on Manage Access, it shows 2 groups with the same name (QA Owners).

  1. Which one is the correct group to choose?
  2. The top QA Owners group I guess has an email associated with it. Maybe its that reason?

From what I described to you in another post, you can try a little test by adding users as Owner in two different ways, so when you click on the Owner one in People and Groups, which users can you see? Only the users added by Share site only. So where are the other owners? Put your cursor on the first group and you will see the left users in the Microsoft365 group:
