Printer Queue Issues

Just purchased an ASUS laptop Windows 11.

Have an older ASUS laptop with Windows 10.

I have a wireless Canon printer that connects flawlessly to Windows 10, with no issues whatsoever.

On my new Asus Windows 11 laptop, for some reason, I keep getting print jobs stuck in the queue. I get tons of errors and have to remove the printer and add again.

Very annoying, but any idea what's going on?

I'm tempted to just return the laptop, but not sure what's the issue. Something tells me it's a Windows 11 issue, since there are no issues with my Windows 10 laptop.

    Hello,

I relied on the built in print drivers. Under Printers & Scanners I simply clicked "Add Device".

How would I go about installing the full feature software? I don't recall having to do that with Win 10.

How do I use the laptop makers update utility for Bios/drivers and set Bios to defaults & power to balanced?

Sorry, I'm not well versed in this. So please forgive all the questions back to you.

I would be more than happy to give it a shot, just not sure.

Under win 11 did you install the full feature software from that printer maker and follow the prompts to connect, or did you simply rely on the built in drivers?

And have you used the laptop makers update utility for Bios/drivers then set bios to defaults & pwr to balanced?

Then in win update settings ensured "Get latest updates" is not selected? - as it includes drivers.
