I've had OneDrive for a while now but been unsure of how it accesses folders.
If I view the file File explorer section, I can see, under it
AppData
Desktop
Docs
Personal Vault
Pictures
If I Go to Account > Choose folders, a panel appears saying - Choose Folders, choose what you want to be available in your "OneDrive" folder.
If I deselect the Documents folder, can anyone tell me what will happen?
I presume the Documents folder will no longer be 'Seen' in OneDrive, BUT, Will that folder now be visible under the normal file structure view in This PC etc?
I'm sort of happy to let OneDrive have access to file content, but for security, If I was to be away from the office I would not want the Documents, or any folder I chose to not be there, be visible on say a mobile phone.
If I make a test sub folder in Documents and uncheck it, I get the following message, "Can't stop synching the folder. The folder you tried to unselect contains the Windows Documents folder which is an important folder in Windows and is currently pointed to OneDrive"
Is it not possible to stop some folders from appearing in the OneDrive?
I really only want for example ONE Documents subfolder to be accessible on another device.
Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks in advance.
