Sending an email to **@onenote.com doesn't work.

I've used the microsoft website to set up the capability to send to **@onenote.com

It just DOES NOT work!

I see the emails in my 'sent' folder. But they never arrive in my Onenote.

Doing a search of the Community, shows this as a problem for the last eight years. Has it ever been fixed? Does anyone have an idea how to fix it?

Has Microsoft ever produced a fix?

    Chatting with Support Agent was not helpful.

    Their standard 'solutions' do not work. Couldn't contact an agent who uses, or was familiar with, the ******@onenote.com capability.

    Asking for a support agent who knows OneNote was not successful. They wouldn't transfer me to an agent who had a higher level of knowledge. Apparently, there is no escalation capability.

    It is very frustrating to not be able to contact a support person who knows the software. They only are able to read from a set list of instructions.

    I've wasted hours with this . The only way for me was to copy and paste . It's really irritating . Especially when you constantly see adverts for various dynamic 21st century Microsoft applications

    Thank you for posting here in Microsoft Community

    I understand that the previous troubleshooting did not work

    Please make sure that you are using the same email that you used to set up email to OneNote function. Because you might be using a different email account. Please also try to check the profile icon and see if you are using the correct email account.

    If the issue still persists. then I suggest you to contact our Live support by following these steps.

    1. Open this link Contact Us - Microsoft Support

    2.It will ask you to sign in to your personal email account

    3.Once you have logged in to your account. it will ask you to choose a product.

    4.Choose "Office"

    5.Then select "Get Home Service"

    6.You need to provide the problem you are having or you can type there, "Unable to send an email to onenote.com"

    7.At the bottom of the page. Select "Contact Support" option.

    8.Select the "Microsoft 365 and Office"

    9.In the category, you can choose "OneNote or Microsoft Office 365" and confirm.

    10.It will ask you to choose a support option. Its up to you if you want to change the locate.

    11.Next, select "Chat with Support Agent in Your Web Browser"

    1. It will automatically direct you to live support.

    I have tried on Windows 11. I have tried on iPhone. I have tried using Outlook on the web.

    None of them are capable of sending an email to one note, with the address, **@onenote.com.

    I use Microsoft edge browser.

    I’ve tried repairing Microsoft 365, with no effect. I’ve tried clearing the casche and bookmarks.

    I have tried sending to multiple notebooks after setting it in one note email settings. It doesn’t make a difference.

    Thank you for posting here in Microsoft community.

    I understand that you need help with sending an email to onenote.com.

    For me to better assist you with the issue you have today. I will ask some questions as well as provide you some steps to follow.

    May I know what is the Device that you are using to try and send the emails? Is it Windows 10 or 11? Or Mac OS or Android / iOS?

    If you are using OneNote on the web. May I know what is the browser that you are using?

    Have you also tried other browsers or try InPrivate?

    Does this happen to a specific notebook? Or all the other notebooks?

    Have you also tried to send it using a different device?
