Looks like the glitch was fixed - I am able to pin again

We had an update on my work computer last night ( may or may not be relevant)
Today I went in to Excel and all my pinned workbooks were unpinned (nothing has been lost, but I now have to use Browse to look up all documents)
Also there is no Today in the Recent breakdown. No workbook I have used in the last 3 months is showing up anywhere File > Open > Recent
Pinned is empty, Last Week has one workbook in it, and Older has 5 workbooks from this year - nothing from 2023 - a few from 2022 - then jumps to 2020.
This is a major glitch. My IT dept has stated they cannot fix it - they ran an update and reinstalled Office365 but that was all they could do. Is this fixable?

Thanks for the reply - I cleared the cache but as this is a work computer I was only able to delete one large file. Unfortunately, this did not resolve anything. At least nothing was deleted, it's just a matter of convenience.
It seems the update remove the list of MRU. You may check the possible reason for it.
