Does my family member have access to storage space from our family account? He is listed on the account but his storage is not upgraded. He is also a college student with a Microsoft email account. Should these be connected?

    I'm sorry I wasn't clear.

The email address is a member if the Microsoft family already. He should have 1TB. However, when I click the settings for his OneDrive, it shows the standard 5Gb. The OneDrive does not appear to be accessing the extra storage. How can I connect them?

Thank you for the reply. He is on the family account but the storage is not sharing.

Hi Gina, not quite sure what you mean! Each member of the group has their own 1TB OneDrive. If you mean one member has not been able to install their Office please have a look at: Share your Microsoft 365 Family subscription - Microsoft Support Make sure that the person you shared with used their own Microsoft Account to install their share.

Yes, your family member should have access to the storage space from your family account if he is listed as a member of the family group. However, it's possible that his OneDrive account is not connected to the family account. To check this, you can go to the OneDrive website and sign in with your Microsoft account. Then, click on the "People" tab and make sure that your family member is listed as a member of the family group.

Regarding his college student Microsoft email account, it's possible that he has a separate OneDrive account associated with that email address. If this is the case, he can link his college email account to the family account to access the additional storage space. He can do this by signing in to his OneDrive account with his college email address and then accepting the invitation to join the family group.

Note: You cannot use a Student email address with Microsoft 365 Family (not sure you were saying that)
