How do I resize a custom shape?

I create a new stencil with multiple shapes in it. I added a shape from this stencil to a diagram and tried to resize it. When I select the shape, a outline appears, and when I hover mouse pointer over the edge, it changes to a double arrow, and when I drag it, only the outline box size changes, the shape itself remains the same.

So, this is a group shape with one or more subshapes (you probably knew that since you created it!) but I can see that from the ShapeSheet. I'll need to see the ShapeSheets for the subshapes to figure out what's going on.

Why don't you email the diagram to me at scott at visiostepbystep dot com

I'm unable to attach a file to the reply (the icon is greyed out).

I've attached images of the shape sheet. Thank you.

Thanks for posting those -- now I see what you're describing. To learn enough to be helpful, I'll need to examine the ShapeSheet for this shape. Can you post the stencil? Or a diagram containing one of these shapes? If you prefer not to post it publicly, you can send it to me: scott at visiostepbystep dot com

Attached are the image of the shape, its properties, and the resultant shape when I resize it.

I haven't locked its width or height. But, I'm not sure if I have defined the width and height correctly.

    Thank you.

Did you lock the width, height, or aspect ratio of the shapes you created? If so that would prevent them from being resized.

Can you post a screenshot of what the shape looks like when selected? And what it looks like during or after the click and drag?
