Hi Doug,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconveniences,
Here are some possible solutions you can try:
- Check the clipboard settings in Excel. Make sure that the clipboard is not full or disabled. To do this, follow these steps:
- In Excel, go to the **File** tab and click on **Options**.
- In the **Excel Options** dialog box, click on **Advanced** in the left pane.
- In the right pane, scroll down to the **Cut, copy, and paste** section and make sure that the **Show Office Clipboard when Ctrl+C Pressed Twice** and **Show Office Clipboard Icon on Taskbar** options are checked.
- Click on **OK** to save the changes and close the dialog box.
- In Excel, press **Ctrl+C** twice to open the clipboard and see if there is any data stored there. You can also click on the clipboard icon on the taskbar to access the clipboard.
- If the clipboard is full, you can clear it by clicking on the **Clear All** button at the top of the clipboard. You can also delete individual items by clicking on the **X** icon next to them.
- Check the keyboard settings in Excel. Make sure that the keyboard shortcuts are not disabled or changed. To do this, follow these steps²:
- In Excel, go to the **File** tab and click on **Options**.
- In the **Excel Options** dialog box, click on **Customize Ribbon** in the left pane.
- In the right pane, under the **Customize the Ribbon** section, make sure that the **Keyboard Shortcuts** option is checked.
- Click on the **Customize** button next to the **Keyboard Shortcuts** option to open the **Customize Keyboard** dialog box.
- In the **Customize Keyboard** dialog box, under the **Categories** list, select **Edit**.
- In the **Commands** list, select **EditCopy** and see if the **Current keys** box shows **Ctrl+C** as the assigned shortcut. If not, you can add it by clicking on the **Press new shortcut key** box and pressing **Ctrl+C** on your keyboard. Then, click on the **Assign** button to save the change.
- Repeat step 6 for the **EditPaste** command and make sure that the **Current keys** box shows **Ctrl+V** as the assigned shortcut. If not, you can add it by clicking on the **Press new shortcut key** box and pressing **Ctrl+V** on your keyboard. Then, click on the **Assign** button to save the change.
- Click on **Close** to close the **Customize Keyboard** dialog box and then click on **OK** to close the **Excel Options** dialog box.
-Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.
