Hi All,

We have a legacy application built on MS access 2003 as front end and SQl server 2008 database as backend. Both front end and back end database are on Windows server 2008 R2. As OS 2008 is out of MS support, now we are looking for upgrade OS from 2008 R2 windows server to Windows 2022 which.

But we are not sure if MS access 2003 frontend application will work with OS upgrade as activex control might not work due to deprecated feature.

Please suggest the correct path to proceed with this. what step we should follow to upgrade this server with MS access & DB to latest supported version and application should work fine.

I would suggest upgrading the application so it’s not created in a version 21 years old. Can you provide any information about your ActiveX control?
