Is there a way in hyper-v to increase the faulty starts of a vm? We are currently struggling with a firmware problem with RHEL / CentOS 8 (UEFI) concerning hyper-v, whereby the VM is started and after 5 unsuccessful attempts it is stopped. Is it possible to increase this value from 5 to e.g. 20 and if so how?
It currently sometimes needs more than 5 attempts to start a such vm successfully.

    Hi,

What is the OS running on the host? Is it a generation 2 VM?

A VM is supposed to boot from the devices in Boot Order. If all the devices fail, the VM should be still running and pause here (on my Windows Server 2016)

You could retry the boot sequence and there's no limit to attempts.

    Best Regards,
