Creating Virtual Escape Room Using Forms
Hello, I am trying to create a virtual escape room using Microsoft Forms. I have successfully built it with branching and answer restrictions (ex: answer must be number equal to 123). The only issue is that I need to be able to toggle the visibility off where participants enter the answer. The goal is that the person completing the form cannot see the required number but they must enter it correctly before moving on to the next section. See screenshots below:

Good day!!
I understand your concern and would like to let you know that I have tested the behavior at my end with the restrictions in the Form of Microsoft Forms, where the restrictions are set was showing at the answers and there is no option in the Microsoft Form settings or Question type for disabling the view of restriction limit set on the question.
Moreover, it’s not acceptable to not have a setting to disable the visual of restriction limit set on the question for the responders and I agree with you having the option to disable the visual of restriction limit will benefits the users. I suggest you to add your valuable idea as a feedback in the Microsoft Forms · Community which is the best place to share our ideas and improve the Microsoft Products.
In this situation, instead of using the restriction “Equal to”, you can try to use restriction “Less than or equal to or Greater than or equal to” as a workaround. (Our sincere apologies if the workaround doesn’t meet your requirement and hope you can understand the feature limitation).
Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!
Best Regards,
Sophia
