One note cannot sync when typing in notebook

As I am writing notes using one note in both the Mac desktop version and the browser version , my notes are unable to sync. The screen shows as being unable to sync notes and I am unable to type more than one word without it pausing and stopping me from writing.

I have tried everything including using different WiFi networks , redownloading the one note app and logging out and back into the browser version — all of which have not stopped the problem.

Any advice would be appreciated

    Hi respected Eleanor Farmer,

Thank you for your valuable feedback and for sharing updates with us, and I really appreciate your effort and valuable time to do so.

And I appreciate your kind words.

It seems that you are only use OneNote for web version. Can I re-confirm if you create a new notebook from your personal OneDrive, did you receive same error message?

Your understanding and patience will be greatly appreciated. I hope you stay safe and sound!

    Sincerely

    Waqas Muhammad

This happens to all notebooks and I am using onedrive for home.

I am not sure of the version since I use the browser version of one note. I do not find the desktop version easy to use.

This is the error message but I am connected to internet and other applications work fine

    Dear respected  Eleanor Farmer,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I’m sorry you’re having a problem but based on your description we can work together to resolve it.

For the situation you encountered, we deeply understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.

As per your description, if the problem happened into specific notebook, I suggest you go to OneNote Online create a new notebook, copy and paste all un-synced notebooks in OneNote Online, make sure they all appear in OneNote Online.

(I understand it will spend some time manually copying all un-synced notes to OneNote online, but this will reduce the risk of losing notes. Appreciate your understanding) then click "Open in Desktop" from ribbon to open it in OneNote desktop client app. See if the error message will disappear.

We appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial suggestions may not resolve the problem very soon. However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. So, please kindly provide more information below to let us work further.

1.Does the issue happens in all notebooks or just a specific notebook?

2.Where do you save notebook? Personal OneDrive or OneDrive for business?

    3.Screenshot of error message encountered.

4.The version of your OneNote application.

Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad
