Microsoft Planner - task comment functionality

I do not like that the comments under each task in Planner get sent to all members of the group. I wish they could just be sent to the people that own that specific task. Is there a way to modify settings so that only the people assigned to the task receive the email notification when comments are entered?

    Dear respected Haley Gehris,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, in Microsoft Planner, the comment feature is designed to foster collaboration across all team members involved in a plan. When a comment is made on a task, by default, an email notification is sent to all members of the group to keep everyone in the loop.

I'm Sorry and I'm afraid, currently unfortunately, there no option directly within Planner to limit comment notifications only to task assignees.

We feel your pain due to this limitation and we’re really feel sorry for it. However, we appreciate your understanding.  I do understand the inconvenience and apologize for it.

However, I research a lot and I also consulted with my Team, it might be possible using Microsoft Power Automate Flow to create a custom workflow that sends notifications only to task assignees.

For custom Power automate flow and to avoid any incorrect information from our side, we’ll suggest you post in Microsoft Power Automate Community for expert assistance. This is a specific channel related with Power Automate.

The reason I ask you to post a new thread is that in Answers forum, we have limited resources and very little knowledge about Power Automate and in Microsoft Power Automate Community, you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction.

I'm Really Sorry and I apologize for it.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad
