Something got messed up and a very important ON notebook got deleted. I have a backup folder in which are all the ON sections only with no TOC. What should I do? Start a fresh notebook and import all the sections. But how? Please advise...

Thank you and have a good day!

    Hi Susan,

Yes, in Windows, the backups for OneNote notebooks can be found via the OneNote app by going to File > Info > Open Backups.

Here you will see your notebooks as folders and their sections are inside that folder.

As you have found the sections of your missing notebook here, just create a new notebook and move all the sections from the folder of the old notebook to the folder of the new notebook.

Let us know how that goes and if you have any further questions. -Amit
