Get an email notification every time a public webpage is updated

I'm trying to create a Power Automate flow that will notify me whenever a public website like (https://tdem.texas.gov/disasters) is updated with new content (tile or list item).

What I've done so far is create a flow with:

  1. Recurrence Trigger (to check every 6 hours) ->
  2. An HTTP Action (presumably to direct to and GET information from the website) ->
  3. A Compose Function (to collect data from the body of the page) ->
  4. A Create File Action (I read somewhere that you need to create a file and then compare the data pulled each 6 hours to the prior file, if the data is different, that means something was updated) ->
  5. A condition (Comparing the files, if they are different, an email is triggered)

When I run the flow though, it fails because of the compose step. Error below.

(Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Compose' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language expression 'body('HTTP')['body']' cannot be evaluated because property 'body' cannot be selected. Property selection is not supported on values of type 'String'. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions for usage details.'.)

This is my first real flow outside of the simple tests you go through in the Microsoft power platform training site.

My questions are:

  1. Is what I'm trying to do even possible (Get a notification based on a change to a webpage I don't own)
  2. If it is, what is the best set of triggers and actions to use?

    Hello,

I actually just solved this by using a Chrome plug-in that did exactly what I needed it to do.
