Bullets and Spacing When Using Templates

Hello!

Does anyone know how to cut out spacing in-between specific bulleted items when using a template? I want to retain the spacing before and after the whole list, and I'm hoping not to interfere with the general paragraph-style formatting. You can see in the screen capture below that it's adding space in-between list items. Due to the amount of bullets used by the template exports, it's difficult to have to correct the exports each time.

Thank you!

Consider setting up your templates using the instructions found at Outline Numbering in Word for macOS by John Korchok.

Resource file on bullets in particular How to control bullets in Ribbon Versions of Word by Shauna Kelly.

You then set the spacing for them in the styles linked to your bullets.

Assuming you are using styles to format the bullet list, select some text in the bullet style. Then right-click on the style in the Quick Style Gallery and choose Modify. The Modify Style dialog opens. If you want to make this change for all future documents, check the New documents based on this template option. In the Modify Style dialog, click on the Format dropdown and choose Paragraph. Check the option for Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style. OK out.
