Tags in Section Groups

Question

Hi,

I have created a section group in OneNote & now want to have a summary on screen of all the tags for the Section Group.

However, even though I have selected Search, This section group & refresh results - it doesn't give me a list of all the tags on all pages in the section group.

How can you get a complete list of tags for the whole section group ie.. Let's say we have a project called "Build a new house" so I create my section group called that.

Under that I have a section called, roof, walls, plumbing, heating, kitchen etc.etc.

Then I want a summary of tags for every section so I can see in 1 view my "to do's" in 1 overall list, it doesn't appear to work currently when I select "This section group?

Dear Michelle,

About the issue in your environment, could you upload some related screenshots for our confirmation?

If you are using OneNote 2016, please also click on File>Account and upload a full screenshot of the Account page in the OneNote application for our reference.

Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

I did a test and click on Find Tags, the tag summary pane pops up and is synced fine in my environment.

If you haven't tried clicking on Reply>Insert image to upload the screenshots, I suggest you try the way to see whether the screenshots can be uploaded.

Yes, on the Tag Summary pane, there is an option Show only unchecked items only showing the unchecked items.

May I know whether the issue happens suddenly? If yes, what did you do before the issue occurred?

Hi Cliff,

I actually gave up on the Section Group as just couldn't see all the outstanding to do tags.

So, now I just have a few notebooks but when I select Search all notebooks, I still don't see all the outstanding to do tags, not on the summary page or on the Create Summary page.

I am using Office 365 but unfortunately, I cannot upload screenshots as they are blocked from being uploaded.

It would also be nice if OneNote could show unchecked items & other tags ie. those flagged for Priority 1, tasks etc. as well as unchecked tags. I know there is an option to see all tags or unchecked but would be nice to see all tags & unchecked not either/or.
